Attendance at India Festival has grown exponentially each year. The festival has come to be known as one of the premier events of its kind in the in United States. The Festival has generated publicity and recognition and has made Columbus, Ohio a destination spot for many weekend travelers. This is a wonderful opportunity for you and your organization to represent itself to the Asian Indian community in Ohio. From all indications, this year's India Festival promises to be the biggest and the best ever. The venue, Veterans Memorial Hall in downtown Columbus, will be able to accommodate exhibitors and festival goers with ease. Celebrations will start on Saturday, September 18, 2010 at 10:00 a.m. and will go non-stop until 10:00 p.m.!
The India Festival website in its second year extracted around 50,000 hits in the two weeks prior to the festival.
200 vendor booths selling and displaying gourmet Indian cuisine, fashion garments, henna, handicrafts, artifacts, books, music cassettes and CD's, videos and DVD's, horoscopes and astrologers, state and federal agencies, travel agencies, businesses and many others.
65 percent of the Festival attendees are from Columbus while an additional 35 percent come from other areas in Ohio.
61% of those attending have a household income greater than $65,000
24% have a household income that exceeds $100,000
40% of Festival guests are college graduates
70% of those attending fall into age categories ranging from 25 to 54
