Every year, India Festival is hosted by FIA, to create awareness about the Indian culture, adding to the cultural diversity of Ohio. FIA hosts many events throughout the year in Central Ohio that involves the local community in productive activities. The festival is a one of its kind event presented by Indian community annually bringing the diversity of Asian Indian culture with all its splendor and Indian entertainment to central Ohio. India festival attracts the largest gathering of the Indian community in a single event in Columbus from Ohio and surrounding states. The event is extremely popular among the Ohio locals in Columbus and surrounding areas attracting college students, faculties, health professionals, vendors from across the country, entertainers, artists, people interested in Indian culture, those seeking Indian style entertainment and ethnic artifacts. This event offers an excellent opportunity to businesses to increase exposure of their products and services to the diverse audience at India festival.

Health Fair: Free with physicians and medical professionals performing a variety of tests to monitor

Childrens Area: Spelling, Math and Science Bee competitions, Scavenger Hunts, Lego Camps
Market Place Vendors: 175 commercial,15 non-profit and 20 sponsors

Event Growth

Attendance at India Festival has grown exponentially each year. Expected attendance in 2011: 25,000 people
The festival has come to be known as one of the premier events of its kind in the in United States.
The Festival has generated publicity and recognition and has made Columbus, Ohio a destination spot for many weekend travelers.
This is a wonderful opportunity for you or your organization to present itself to the Asian Indian community in Ohio.
From all indications, this year's India Festival promises to be the biggest and the best ever.
The venue, Veterans Memorial Hall in downtown Columbus, will be able to accommodate exhibitors and festival goers with ease.

The India Festival website in its second year extracted around 50,000 hits in the two weeks prior to the festival.
300 vendor booths selling and displaying gourmet Indian cuisine, fashion garments, henna, handicrafts, artifacts, books, music cassettes and CD's, videos and DVD's, horoscopes and
astrologers, state and federal agencies, travel agencies, businesses and many others.
Free Health Fair with physicians and medical professionals performing a variety of tests to monitor

This year, celebrations will start on Saturday, September 17, 2011 at 10:00 a.m. and will go non-stop until 10:00 p.m.!
